On Saturday 25th May 2024, the Noru Hotel Malta was officially opened by Her Excellency, the President of the Republic of Malta, Dr. Miriam Spiteri Debono. It was indeed a beautiful event carried out on the twelfth and thirteenth floors of the hotel and symbolised the culmination of months of hard work and the necessary preparations for hosting clients and tourists from all over the world.
The event integrated a number of personalities from Malta and from other countries which were specifically invited by the Board of Directors for the launch of the hotel. The Board represents the harmonious synergy between M & E Management Group, a well-respected management and marketing consultancy firm, and Lex Malta, a practicing law firm in Malta specialising in commercial law, litigation and legal consultancy services.
The Board of Directors was represented during the opening ceremony by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Hotel, Dr. Massimo J. Ellul, who welcomed the guests and hosted the standing reception which was executed by the Noru kitchen brigade under the watchful eye of the contracted Michelin star-studded chef brought in especially for the occasion.
Dr. Massimo J. Ellul is a veteran in management and marketing consultancy services for both the public and private sectors. His organisation was contracted by a number of government agencies – apart from the Maltese government – for hospitality and related operations in Scotland, Slovenia, the United Arab Emirates and Hungary.
Academically, he is a Cambridge University alumnus, having specialised his studies in management and marketing. In 2005, he was granted the Freedom of the City of London for marketing services executed in the City. He is the only Maltese citizen to receive such an honour.
In his welcoming speech, Dr. Ellul insisted on the need to underline and project excellence in the hotel service that Noru will be providing and confirmed the Board’s view that this project will be the flagship amidst other initiatives in the hospitality sector.
It is for this reason that Noru staff are carefully selected and trained in order to give the best possible experience to the residents, irrespective of what type of room the latter have requested. It is for this reason that the Noru Hotel Malta offers five-star amenities whilst being categorised as a four-star superior hotel. It is also for this reason that all of the staff at the Noru Hotel Malta take their responsibilities very seriously. As Noru’s corporate motto states: We expect – and give – nothing less than the best.
